NCDevCon Session Spotlight: Kendoui for html5 applications

Are you looking for a modern HTML5/Javascript framework for building desktop and mobile applications? KendoUI might be your answer. KendoUI is a relatively new framework which provides a complete set of tools for building rich internet applications for mobile and desktop. In addition to UI widgets and themeing, you also get tools for structured development, including DataSource, Models, and an MVVM framework. And it's all jQuery-powered, which will help smooth out the learning curve for many front-end developers. In this session you will get an introduction to KendoUI, the development problems it aims to solve, and an overview of its Web, Mobile, and DataViz (Charting) libraries. The speaker will then focus on KendoUI's mobile framework and provide code demos to showcase some of the framework's UI components, and demonstrate how to work with data using KendoUI DataSource and MVVM. Attendants will come away from the session with a working knowledge of how to build a simple mobile web application using KendoUI and the resources for digging deeper into the framework.
